Jeremiah 13

God is going to allow Israel's "allies" to become Israel's captors. And he is going to turn Israel into a useless belt that has been buried and hidden.

Jeremiah 12

This chapter is how Jeremiah complains to God about those who speak of God but do not truly have God in their hearts. God answers to say that he will uproot all who do not truly love him and when he finally brings them back to their land if they do not truly love them he will uproot them again to destroy them at that point.

Jeremiah 11

God had a covenant with the forefathers of Israel. That they would obey and do everything commanded and he would take care of them and be their God. When a covenant is broken it allows both parties to get out of the agreement therefore God no longer has to take care of them.

Jeremiah 9 and 10

At the end of Jeremiah chapter 10, Jeremiah says a prayer that God will deal with him justly and not in anger, it is a wonderful peace of mind that God does deal with us justly and out of love. If God our Father did not love us he would not discipline us when we are unruly. And even though little Beast sings "Mama's gonna spank me, Daddy's gonna spank me..." If I did not love him and want him to learn right from wrong and bad from good I would not discipline him and teach him. But I do love him with all my heart and I will tear his tail up if the situation calls for it. However, there are times that do not require physical punishment, like this morning when he spilled a bowl of cereal all over the kitchen, even though he was goofing around and should know better than to do that, I can not spank him or yell at him because it was nothing more than him being a child.

Here is my post from today...

Jeremiah 8

The one who loves you more than anything else in the entire world is Jesus- He DIED for You!!! And we cannot even live for him, we always go whoring after the things of the world. We need to stop and evaluate our lives are we following Jesus' footprints whether they lead through sunny pastures or lead through cold dark mountains??

This post was supposed to be up yesterday....

Jeremiah 7

We read this chapter and think of how horrible this nation had to be for Gof to turn his back on his own people... Remind you of another nation that we know? When the United States was founded, fought and died for, God was a part of everything our forefathers did... Now if you go to church you're liable to be shot and Heaven forbid a child says a prayer in school, How did we go from a nation founded on God's principles to a nation that can't find Him anywhere?

Jeremiah 6

"They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them."

To be rejected from the Lord, to have him throw you to the wolves- what a terrible fate. We as Christians are not above persecution or what we consider bad things happening to us but most of the valleys we walk through God will carrying us if we just ask him to. To have God reject us would be a worse fate than even death- because that means that when we need Him most he will not be there because he has turned his back on us.

Jeremiah 5

No one is upright, no one is truthful or does right. An entire nation is corrupt and serves false gods. Lord help us to know right from wrong lead us down the path of righteousness. Help us to truly know you because to know you is to know truth. Help us to be filled with your spirit which is righteous and upright.

Jeremiah 4

Why can we not put away our false idols and turn back to the Lord? Why must we continue to go after things of the world instead of after our Creator and Savior? Lord, save us and steer us on the path you want us to be on.

Jeremiah 3

In this chapter God explains that Israel has been like a woman unfaithful to her husband, but that if Israel will only admit their guilt he will forgive. That is exactly what we must do when we ask for forgiveness from sin- we must first admit our guilt of sinning and then God is just to forgive us of our sins.

Jeremiah 2

In this chapter the Lord has Jeremiah bring the charges against Israel to explain why he is going to turn against them. These charges are because Israel has forsaken God and because they have dug their own cistern. Now God will bring destruction upon them from the North.

Jeremiah 1

This is the call of Jeremiah- God is calling him to warn Jerusalem that he is going to pour out disaster upon them from the North for worshipping idols. He has commanded Jeremiah to not be afraid because He will be with him and keep him safe.

On another note, and I would love any feedback...

Yesterday, I was approached by my Pastor and he asked me if I would like to take over and be the Nursery Coordinator? I would be responsible for making sure people are in there, making sure the rules are being followed, as well as being responsible for any renovations or other stuff to be done in the Nursery. I would actually be part of the "Staff" which means I would probably need to attend staff meetings as possible and would be paid a small amount of money (300-450/month). He asked because he wants someone who knows about the DCF rules and regulations and since I run a daycare I know about them. The paying amount would actually be good since Beast is probably going back to driving and if he does and makes enough for us to live on I will probably shut down the daycare to homeschool full time... So the money would provide me with a small income?? What should I do- it will be a lot of work but if I shut down the daycare I will be looking for something to do with kids.

1 Samuel 30

In this chapter David realizes that his wives and everything else that he and his men own have been taken away. He goes after the Amalekites and the Lord hands them over to him and his men. When they go back from wining the fight, the men who fought did not want to share with those who did not fight but David says that all will share equally.

1 Samuel 29

I think it is kind of ironic that the Philistines sent David and his men back from fighting against Saul and that Samuel said that Saul would die in that battle- now David can't be blamed for hurting Saul because he won't even be there ;)

Bible Time

Sometimes when you step out of the will of God he whispers like a mouse and says "That's not what I want you to do..." Then after a while of whispering if that doesn't work he usually uses someone {occasionaly himself} to roar like a lion and tell you that you are not doing what God wants you to do... Sometimes you justify it by saying "It's not that bad" or "I don't have time" or "Here I will do this instead" But most times you need to just say "yes" and step back into the will of God... so here goes...

1 Samuel 27

This chapter gives an overview of David's life in Gath and how Achish thought that David had become odious to the Israelites and David would forever be his servant... I wonder what he thought when David became King?
